Respect.
Self-respect leads to being respectful of others and therefore being considerate of how others need to be treated.
Humility.
Having the awareness that we are all human and students of life, acknowledging when we make mistakes and learning from them.
Inclusivity.
It feels so important to make these practices accessible to all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
Attentiveness.
A core part of teaching is listening – being present and available to what is going on for each student in the room.
Humour.
Not taking oneself too seriously while maintaining a consistent and disciplined practice, and encouraging this during classes with a little lightheartedness.
